- Description
Pre-conference workshops have limited capacity and are sold separately from conference tickets.
Data Mesh has become one of the most influential concepts in modern data architecture — but how does it actually work in practice?
In this one-day, hands-on workshop, participants will explore the fundamental ideas and guiding principles of Data Mesh through an interactive case study. Step by step, you’ll design a data product, define its boundaries, and build a simple self-serve data platform — all while applying the core principles of domain ownership, “data as a product,” and federated computational governance.
Through a mix of short introductions, guided exercises, and group discussions, you’ll experience what it means to align data with business domains, balance autonomy with governance, and make platform capabilities truly self-serve.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a practical understanding of how Data Mesh can be implemented — and what it takes to make it work in a real-world organization.
Prerequisites
You don't need knowledge of Data Mesh, any particular programming language or technology.
