How does a tyrant act? How does this resemble modern corporate politics? And what are the disadvantages of democracy?
In this workshop, I would like to offer a look at various forms of power. It will cover tyranny as well as democratic and anarchist system design. What influence does this have on our actions? Who really has a say in this?
While these questions may initially sound like political theory, they also provide a new perspective on our daily actions in individual companies. Let's explore together why the annoying, tyrannical team leader might not be as powerful as they initially appear.
About Anja Kunkel
Anja is a Staff Engineer based in Berlin. She loves systems thinking - but doesn't love buzzwords all that much. Her aim is to understand and influence human dynamics behind software and organizations. She's equally passionate about hard and soft skills. Over time, she's become more and more convinced that soft skills are the true hard skills. Off stage, she's a sports enthusiast, current local champion in wakeskating, and a fan of pushing limits – whether on the water or in the workplace.
