Description

(This is a hands-on lab with limited capacity)

What do complex systems require? Clear problem framing over elegant code!

In this interactive crash lab, attendees will use design thinking methods (empathy mapping, reframing, quick prototyping) to approach a system design challenge. While quick prototyping is often knocked off, we'll explore fun interactive ways to consider it for every system design.

Small groups will practice identifying real user needs, reframing system goals, and creating low-fidelity models. This is a fast-paced, highly practical workshop designed to stretch thinking and give participants tools they can take back to their own projects.

Prerequisites

Willingness to learn practical design methods. Willingness to practise with others in groups Curiousity to explore new methods.

No prior design thinking skills are required. If any has DT skills.. they are most welcome.
