This workshop provides a quick overview of the key concepts, including how to evaluate your system’s current state and the critical first steps to take. Participants will explore the Modularity Maturity Index (MMI) as a guide to prioritize efforts, starting with understanding the domain. The session also highlights Collaborative Modeling methods as powerful tools for uncovering domain insights and transforming the system into a robust architecture.
Attendees will leave with a catalog of refactorings and actionable heuristics, providing a starting point for tackling challenges such as BBOM architecture and anemic domain models. About Carola Lilienthal
Dr. Carola Lilienthal is Managing Director of WPS - Workplace Solutions GmbH and has been regularly analysing the future viability of software architectures on behalf of her customers since 2003. In 2015, she summarized her experiences from over a hundred analyses in the book "Langlebige Softwarearchitekturen". In 2017, together with Henning Schwentner, she translated Vaughn Vernon's book "Domain-Driven Design Distilled" into German.About Henning Schwentner (he/him)
